Squarespace Rocks Your Biz - Part 1

I love the intuitive and elegant Squarespace platform. It encompasses stunning design, diverse templates and the ability to create a unique web site.

I built my first website on Squarespace 5, circa 2008, and it definitely took some time to learn the platform and it was not that intuitive. Eventually, I followed the crowd and migrated over to Wordpress.org. I found it to be problematic but that is a story for another day. Squarespace has grown by leaps and bounds since I first discovered it and offers a wonderful solution for various sizes of businesses. Since my target market ranges from small boutique businesses to medium sized establishments, I will tell you why I love the platform, keeping my target market in mind.

My goal is to help businesses who need a website but do not have the time and/or inclination to do it themselves. Eventually, if the client wishes, I can turn the site over to them, show them how to update it and they will feel comfortable doing do. If they really want nothing to do with maintaining and adding content to the site, I am here to help.

There are many reasons for choosing Squarespace and one of the main ones is the all inclusive nature of the brand. Domain and hosting are all part of the plan and if you have bought a domain somewhere else, it can most likely be transferred. When you have a question about your site, there is free 24/7 support. That is such a bonus and such a wonderful component of Squarespace. Since Wordpress.org is an open source platform, there is no one to turn to if you run into a problem. There are, of course, developers and individuals who are very well versed in the subject but do you have the time to search and find an answer for your specific theme, since there approximately 10000 themes to choose from? It can be mind boggling; definitely a challenge for those who love to immerse themselves in the technology. For those who are running a business, they have better things to do!
